TTN and Eucaforest established a strong relationship nearly five years ago. The company, owned by Catherine Crowley is involved in the Eucalyptus Oil business on a farm in the Panbult area. This link has led to Rock of Faith ministries becoming involved with Eucaforest, as they operate in that area.

Catherine, who comes from San Antonio in Texas has always had a heart for Phumula (the community on her farm), as well as for the surrounding rural communities of Msinyane and Vuka. Annually she brings friends and family, as well as interested parties on a tour called the ‘Sisonke tour’ to South Africa. The tour allows them to spend time in her community and gain a true understanding of conditions, and how best to assist the communities with upliftment and development.

Pastor Phillip Nobela and Sarah Mtshali began with devotions in the Eucaforest workplace, and over the years have established some strong DBS groups in the villages. These groups have evolved into monthly gatherings, where the groups meet together for fellowship and discipling. This fellowship lays the foundation for the the work that needs to be done in the communities, as unity and peace are key to the success.

A wonderful opportunity for ’community’ development has opened because of this partnership, and plans are under way to develop the FGW veg gardens as well as an ECD initiative. A local crèche can be used as a training base for ECD boxes and development of crèches in the area, and this will further allow us to gain access to the communities to assist with development.

Catherine and her husband Johan have just bought a farm touching the Driefontein community, and this is another step that will allow us to engage the two critical areas of Driefontein and Ngema.

These network ‘Partnerships’ (on a very informal base) are beginning to play a major role in the furtherance of the great commission where our Lord tells us to “make disciples of the nations”.
